Our check in time is from 2:00 pm, and check out is before 10:00 am. If you would like to check in before 2:00 pm, please give us a call to make the necessary arrangements. Unfortunately we do not allow check in after 9:00 pm, as a courtesy to other guests and the check in staff.

No, we have backup power in place to ensure your comfort and to run essentials during power outages in the guesthouse and dining area. The self-catering cottage has some facilities, but is not on full backup power.

Yes free off street parking is available to all our guests on the property.

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the premises and in the guesthouse rooms.

Yes you can! We do require 24 hours advance notice to make a delicious homecooked meal for you, so be sure to chat to us about your dietary requirements.

Dinners can range from Lamb Shanks, to Chicken Curry, Pan Fried Trout or Belgian Beef Stew; but there are more options not listed here. Our desserts are a favourite with guests, especially the traditional Malva pudding. Have a look at this page to see what type of food we offer.

Angler & Antelope is conveniently located close to Somerset East's town centre, shops, restaurants, and local attractions.

Yes, full breakfast is available to our guests, and can be included in your stay, dependent on your booking option.

The town and surrounding area is safe with a low crime rate. It is always best though to be mindful of opportunists. Don't walk around alone after dark, and don't walk around flashing valuables for all to see. 

We have 6 rooms in the guesthouse that are airconditioned, and the self-catering family cottage is also airconditioned. The only two units that do not have air conditioning are our standard room and the self-catering suite.

Our current 2026 rates are R 850 per person sharing in the guesthouse rooms per night. This includes our amazing breakfast! Have a look at our booking engine for more prices.

Most of the roads in the Eastern Cape are good, however, there are some around the Somerset East (KwaNojoli) area that have severe potholes which are difficult to see at night. There is also the added issue of wildlife that cross the road. Kudus particularly, move around at dusk and dawn, and are very difficult to spot at night. We would not recommend arriving after dark if you don't know the area.
