Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Angler and Antelope guesthouse in town?
Yes, the Angler and Antelope guesthouse is centrally situated in the town of Somerset East (now KwaNojoli). Walking distance from the main street where most of the shops and restaurants are.
Is Somerset East (KwaNojoli) safe?
The town and surrounding area is safe with a low crime rate. It is always best though to be mindful of opportunists. Don't walk around alone after dark, and don't walk around flashing valuables for all to see.
Is it safe to travelling after dark?
Most of the roads in the Eastern Cape are good, however, there are some around the Somerset East (KwaNojoli) area that have severe potholes which are difficult to see at night. There is also the added issue of wildlife that cross the road. Kudus particularly, move around at dusk and dawn, and are very difficult to spot at night. We would not recommend arriving after dark if you don't know the area.
