The accommodation at the Angler and Antelope, consists of 7 rooms in total. Guests can be accommodated on a bed and breakfast, or dinner bed and breakfast bsis. Each room is individually recorated to relect the characteristics of the family that inhabited the house before it was restored and converted into a guest house. The Angler and Antelope guesthouse is one of only two four-star graded accommodation establishments in the town of Somerset East, and is also AA Travel Superior rated.
The accommodation in the guesthouse is divided into three executive rooms, three business rooms and one standard room.
Room features:
All the rooms have the same basic features:
- Air-conditioning
- En-suite bathroom with both bath and shower, double vanity and underfloor heating
- Cotton Percale linen, mohair blankets, goose down duvets and pillows (If you are allergic to down, hollow fibre can be supplied)
- Coffee and tea making facilities, with homemade rusks and biscuits
- Hair dryer
- Electronic safe
- Television - the executive rooms are equipped with DSTV, while the business and standard rooms have the four standard South African channels
- Free Wireless internet
The standard double room has all the features above, with the exception of air-conditioning, underfloor heating, and the bath.
Self-catering facilities have been added to one of the business rooms and one of the executive rooms:
- Bar fridge
- Microwave oven
- Toaster
- Private braai area (executive room only)
Arrival and departure times:
- Check in from 14h00 (2 pm) - please note, as a consideration to other guests accommodated in the guesthouse, we do not accept check-ins after 22h00 (10 pm)
- Check out before 10h00 (10 am) - should you need to check out later, please let us know so that we can make the necessary arrangements
Children's policy:
Children of all ages are welcome at the Angler and Antelope. Children under 12 years will be accommodated on sleeper couches in the parent's room. Please let us know if you need a cot for your baby under 2 years, so that we can ensure your room is perfect when you arrive.
