Current Menu for Meals served in St Francis

Meals are served in the old Roman Catholic Church. These meals are only available to guests staying at the Angler & Antelope. Should you want to book a function, this can be arranged for outside visitors, based on availability and advance bookings.

Pan fried trout – Pan fried trout fillet served with potato puree and baby peas.
Lamb shank – Succulent Karoo lamb shank cooked in red wine served with potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
Beef Lasagne – Layers of pasta, minced beef & white sauce, served with salad.
Chicken Curry - Chicken curry with a slight bite, served with basmati rice & side salad.
Oven roasted Chicken – Chicken pieces roasted and served with seasonal roast vegetables and potatoes.
Lamb Chops - Karoo lamb chops served with seasonal roast vegetables and potatoes.
Oxtail - Rich oxtail stew served with mashed potatoes, especially for those cold winter nights. (Please note that Oxtail is only served in winter)
Pasta with Tomato sauce – Pasta served with a homemade tomato sauce.
Smoked Trout Salad - Hot smoked trout salad with cucumber, capers and onion.

Dessert

Jumble Berry Crumble – Mixed berry crumble pie served with vanilla ice cream.
Affogatto – A ball of homemade vanilla ice cream with a shot each espresso & Frangelico liqueur.
Chocolate Fondant – Baked chocolate pudding with soft centre, served with vanilla ice cream.
Apple Honey Pudding - Sponge pudding served with vanilla ice cream.
Ice cream & chocolate sauce - Home made vanilla ice cream served with chocolate sauce.

Please note the following important items:

  • Dinner orders must be placed before 5:30 pm.
  • Dinner is served at 7 pm daily, except on Fridays.
  • All menu items are subject to availability.
  • The kitchen is closed on Fridays.
  • Please note that we do not serve dinner on Christmas Eve.
